Mrs. Alysia Lambert

Originally from Georgia, Mrs. Lambert joins the LT choral tradition after a ten year career at Lincoln-Way East High School. Under her direction, the Lincoln-Way East choirs participated in tours to Hawaii, the Bahamas, Florida, and Tennessee, and three ensembles were selected to perform for the IMEA state convention. Mrs. Lambert directed ten Madrigal Dinners and ten musicals, taught classes in music theory, history, and special services music, along with advising the Tri-M Music Honor Society. Giving back to the community is a passion for Mrs. Lambert, and she was given the "Top Outstanding Young Person" award by the Illinois Jaycees. Mrs. Lambert received her B.S.Ed in music education from Western Carolina University and her M.M. in voice performance from Illinois State University. She currently resides in the south suburbs with her husband and two daughters. Mrs. Lambert is very proud to be a part of the tradition of excellence that is LT Choral Music.

Mrs. Lyda received a B.S. in Music Education and a M.M. in Choral Conducting from the University of Illinois. She taught choir for 3 years at Oswego High School, and in fall of 1986, began teaching at L.T.H.S. She has accompanied and directed the Training Chorus of the Glen Ellyn Children's Choirs (now Anima), been a section leader at the Illinois Summer Youth Music camps, and directed the Georgia Junior High Women's 1990 All-State Choir. She has been a section leader and accompanist of the IMEA District I and All-State Festival Choirs. She is a member of the American Choral Directors Association, MENC: the National Association for Music Education, and the Illinois Music Educators Association. She has toured with OHS and LTHS choirs to culturally and musically rich locations including St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee, Interlochen Academy of the Arts in Traverse City, Michigan, Quebec City and Montreal, and most recently to San Francisco.

Mr. Musick graduated from Millikin University in 2001. Since graduation he has been the music director and bass for the nationally acclaimed a cappella group Chapter 6. With Chapter 6, John has lead workshops and master-classes for jr. high, high school, college and professional musicians across the country. In his tenure with the group and as a solo singer John has had the privilege of performing with symphony orchestras such as the National Symphony in Washington D.C. and at venues like the National Center for the Performing Arts in Hong Kong. John has conducted several Classical and Jazz district festival choirs for Illinois Music Educator’s Association and has been a clinician or judge for choir competitions across the Midwest. John is thrilled to join the LT choir staff this year.
